When you have been praying for your husband and your marriage and instead God tells you it’s time to go--it’s time to go.
When God told Abraham to pack the donkeys and head out to the country he was going to show them, God didn’t show him their entire future or give him the address of their new home.
Instead, He gave Abraham promises about his future and told him to leave where he was. Hebrews 11:8: "By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went." When you are told to leave and you know it’s God…leave.
I know it’s scary. I know your husband is yelling at you and mocking you with statements like, “Where will you go?” “You don’t have a dime.” “You can’t leave.” But our God is bigger than the demon running your husband’s thoughts and actions and He wins every time. Stick with Him; follow His directions and you will be okay.
It won’t be easy; but it will be worth it when you and your children live in peace. Deuteronomy 31:6: “Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you.”
